July Favorites

Tuesday, August 1, 2017

Happy Tuesday and Happy August y'all! How is it already August? This month has been in the back of my mind for what seems like forever as college move in just around the corner (!!!) but I'm still in disbelief that summer is almost over.

At the start of each month, I love to share my favorites from the month before. These favorites typically range from clothes to shoes to beauty products to books to food to other random odds and ends. I've been sharing my monthly favorites for almost two years now and it's such a fun way to look back on the month.

Lilly Pulitzer Coverup- I bought this coverup while in Kiawah in June and it has totally come in handy since then! It's so easy to throw on before an afternoon by the pool and it looks so chic as well!

Nikon D3400 Camera- We got my dad a DSLR camera for his birthday last year and he has been letting me borrow it to take blog pictures since then (thanks Dad!). I knew I wanted to get my own to continue blog pictures while at Clemson as well as for before sorority formals and when I study abroad so I decided to use some of my graduation money to purchase my own DSLR (I got mine at Costco!). It's actually the same one that my dad has and I love it (just can't include it in the picture since I used it to take the picture haha!).

Califia Farms Mocha Cold Brew Coffee with Almond Milk- After getting back from my trip to New York (which you can read about here and here), I knew I need to get back into the swing of working out and eating healthy and while in Whole Foods stocking up on some essentials, I found this pre-made cold brew coffee, which is delicious! It's made with almond milk so it's dairy free and I feel better knowing it's a bit better for you than my usual Starbucks.

Rich People Problems- I read the first two novels of this series, Crazy Rich Asians and China Rich Girlfriend, last year and loved them so I was so excited to see that there was a third novel in the series. I saved it for my trip to New York and loved it! It is definitely a fun read but it was perfect for lazy afternoons by the lake.

Tory Burch Perfume- I originally bought the rollerball version of this perfume (and featured it in my February Favorites post) but recently ran out of it. When I saw that the NSale had a set of this perfume that included two full size bottles for a steal, I decided to get it and love it! If you're a fan of this perfume, this is the perfect time to stock up!

Essie "mod squared"- I've had this nail polish for a while but I'm convinced that it's the perfect shade of pink as it's not too light but not too magenta-y either! I currently have it on my nails haha

Essie "all the wave"- I was on a gel nail kick from Spring Break to graduation and while I loved having gel nails (I think I'll do it again for sorority recruitment), it's nice to do my own nails with the colors I already own. I've had this blue since Easter and just used it for the first time a few weeks ago and love it- it's such a gorgeous color!

Lilly Pulitzer Pajama Shorts- I bought these pajama shorts at Lilly back in May and love them so much! I knew they would be super cute for lounging around in my dorm but have worn them so much already (and by so much I mean almost every night haha!).

Vineyard Vines White Pants (similar)- I bought these during my sophomore year so they have been worn countless times since then but I have worn them so much this month. North Carolina is so hot outside that you can't really wear pants during the day without feeling toasty but I managed to get a lot of wear out of these while in New York earlier in the month. I also wore these out to dinner a few times while at home and they're perfect white pants!

  2. I LOVE bottled ice coffee. I just posted on Instagram about this today – it makes me feel so thrifty! I buy Stok's chocolate black brew in the grocery store and mix it with ice and skim milk. It's saving me a ton of money! Next up, I need to find out how to duplicate my beloved Violet Drink from Starbucks ;)
