Classic

Thursday, November 12, 2015

If I had to describe my style in one word, I would choose to say classic. I may try trends from time to time but I always find myself gravitating towards more classic, preppier styles. I believe preppy fashion will truly never go out of style and will be timeless.

I bought my Bean Boots this summer because I remembered the major backorders from the past two winters and knew this would happen again. When they arrived, my mother instantly told me that she wished that she kept her pair from high school and how popular they were when she was my age, which I thought was hilarious because it truly shows that classic styles never go out of style.

Vests are another piece that I think will never completely go out of style. I purchased this vest from Eddie Bauer in the sixth grade (five years ago, which is slightly insane) and I have gotten my use of it every winter since then and has held up surprisingly well! It is pretty similar to my J. Crew ones, but it has furry pockets which is pretty nice on cold days.

The fact preppy clothing never really goes out of style makes it much more realistic for me to splurge on clothes and accessories. Obviously spending $200 on a dress that I wear for one season isn't very realistic but a $200 dress that I can wear year after year is worth it to me!
