My Chic Week: December 4-10

Friday, December 11, 2015

Thank goodness, it's Friday! My week has been pretty busy (as y'all can read all about a bit down the page) and even though my weekend will be full of studying, I am so excited to sleep in tomorrow morning. Exams start on Monday so my week has been pretty stressful finishing up the semester and then beginning to study!

Friday was a Mass Day at my school so I re-wore my Homecoming Dress (as seen in this post) with riding boots. The day definitely did not start off on the best note but improved throughout the day. I babysat after school and then had dinner at home with my family. My neighbors came over afterwards with their two adorable puppies (who are getting bigger and bigger every time I see them) so I spent a few hours holding those two cuties!

I slept in on Saturday morning and then spent the rest of the morning and part of the afternoon blogging and working on a bit of homework.

I had a babysitting job downtown on Saturday night so I decided to beat some traffic by heading down earlier and going to shop at Southpark Mall. I am excited to say that I got the majority of my Christmas shopping done for my family (my friends and I may be doing a Secret Santa, so I haven't picked anything them up for them yet except for one thing I bought over Thanksgiving!)

I received a little post card in the mail saying the Lilly at Southpark was holding a Grand Re-Opening Party for their new fitting rooms so I, of course, had to stop in! The fitting room I was in was so cute and had palm trees that made me want summer break back! I was able to buy a pair of leggings for my sweet cousin who loves Lilly and then try on a bunch of pieces I'm asking for Christmas!

They also had the new Let's Cha Cha print in store, which I love so I had to buy this dress in that print! I was so tempted to buy a few other items but I knew I had to have some constraint since Christmas is right around the corner!

After doing a bit more shopping, I grabbed Chick-fil-a and then drove to go babysit the sweetest little kid! After babysitting, I went next door to watch my neighbor for a little bit before heading off to bed!

After spending Saturday not doing homework, I worked on a project and then studied on Sunday. Nothing too exciting but unfortunately this weekend will be spent knee-deep in studying with exams next week!

Monday was a pretty busy day as we started to get ready for Exams in class and also since we didn't have school on Tuesday as it was a Holy Day of Obligation. It was nice to not spend the afternoon doing homework that night and I had my Faith Formation class on Monday as well!

I didn't have school on Tuesday, which seems kind of random but it was a Holy Day of Obligation so we had the day off so we could go to Mass with our families. My family and I went to church in the morning and then went to the mall to do some Christmas shopping! We had lunch at the mall and then after we got home, I worked on an essay and organized my backpack to prepare for exams!

It's not a trip to the mall if I don't stop at J. Crew

Wednesday and Thursday were pretty much spent finishing up the last assignments before Exam week and then studying for exams!

On my Radar:

1. EXAMS! Midterms start on Monday so I am anxious to finish studying and get to Christmas Break as soon as possible!

2. I love Shannon's recaps of her trips to London and Lisbon!

4. Low key obsessed with this J. Crew striped top

5. Christmas Break- After a few extremely busy weeks and midterms next week, I cannot wait for Christmas Break to begin!

I have a bunch of fun posts and some most are holiday themed up from this week including:

What have you been up to? What is on your radar? Let me know in the comments!

  1. The dress you wore for homecoming is insanely cute! And I love those TB flats. The hype up to Christmas Break always gave me anxiety because I was just so ready to go home and sit by the Christmas tree. Good luck with exams!
