Fourth of July Outfit Inspiration

Thursday, June 22, 2017

I honestly cannot believe that the Fourth of July is less than two weeks ago! I always love the Fourth as it's fun to spend quality time with my family celebrating and, of course, wearing red, white, and blue. My family decided that we are going up to our lake house in New York for the holiday this year and I'm so excited (although I don't know if it can top visiting Pearl Harbor while in Hawaii last year). We typically go at the end of July but thought that going earlier would give us a bit more time for me to prep for college move in!

As I mentioned before, I absolutely love coming up with a red, white, and blue outfit to wear on the Fourth. My wardrobe has a lot of navy and white so I have that covered but usually lack in the red (haha). I've put together a few different outfits that are perfect for the Fourth no matter what your plans are!

If your plans for the holiday are on the fancy side or you just want to dress up, this outfit is perfect for you! I always love the patriotic print Lilly Pulitzer releases each summer and this year is no exception as this dress is so cute and is perfect for the Fourth as it gives you room to move around (helpful if you're heading to a barbecue with yummy treats!). Keep it simple with sandals but add an extra touch with a gorgeous Kendra Scott necklace and these darling sunglasses from Draper James!

I love that this outfit is so versatile since it is casual yet festive at the same time. This is perfect for all sorts of celebrations, whether it's attending a barbecue or going to your town's Fourth of July parade. These elastic waist shorts are perfect for hot summer days as they aren't as tight as typical chino shorts and who can say no to a striped shirt?

If your Fourth of July plans are more casual and consist of hanging out by the water, whether it's the beach, lake, or pool, this outfit is for you! I bought this bikini for spring break and absolutely love it (plus it's on sale right now!). Add a red coverup (love this one from Vineyard Vines) and you're ready to go!

What are your Fourth of July plans? Let me know in the comments!
