How to Style Lilly for Fall

Thursday, October 8, 2015

Oh my gosh y'all, I am so excited for today's post! It is no secret that I love Lilly Pulitzer (the fact that 95% of my outfit posts includes at least 1 Lilly items shows this) so I was excited when I got a request on Instagram to show how to style Lilly for Fall. I was planning on doing a few outfit posts featuring my favorite cold weather Lilly pieces but due to the all the rain we had last week (it seriously rained for week straight here), I wasn't able to take pictures so instead I put together a few outfits for y'all (let me know if you would still want to see those outfit posts, I would love to do that if y'all are interested)!

Lilly is full of bright and loud prints which doesn't always coincide with fall style. However, I am a firm believer that color in your outfit adds a bit of happiness to your day, which can be extremely helpful for once it gets super cold and dreary out! I put together some outfits for y'all that are fall appropriate but still have the Lilly (perfect for wanting to wear Lilly but it's too cold to wear your favorite summer shifts).

How do you style Lilly for fall? Any other posts you would love to see? Let me know in the comments!

  1. I am in love with these outfits! I completely agree with adding some color into your outfits, it really is a great way to brighten up your day! I plan on wearing a lot of my Lilly with vests and riding boots like the first outfit.

    1. Thanks Alyson! It's also the perfect strategy for rainy days ;). Me too!

  2. I have always thought of Lilly as being strictly for spring and summer, but it goes perfectly with these outfits! I love them!

    1. Thanks Alyssa! I love Lilly too much to only wear it in the spring and summer so I always look for ways to incorporate it into my fall wardrobe!

  3. Wow, thanks for following through with my idea! With all of the fall brands like J Crew that's being spotted in the fall, it's hard to get a splash of color in your outfit. So happy to see ways I can still fit my colorful Lilly items in autumn! Thanks again Katie, lots of love xx
