Happy Monday y'all! Aren't Mondays so much better when there's no school? I am super excited to share today's post with y'all because, drumroll please, Juliana of Juliana Grace Blog Space and I are hosting a Christmas Cookie Linkup with some of our favorite bloggers!

I love to bake all year round but Christmas baking really takes the cake (oh gosh, #bakingpuns). When thinking of Christmases from when I was little, I think of not only the gifts I received but also the time spend with my mom and grandmother in the kitchen baking away. One of the most Christmas-y recipes I can think of is cut out cookies with fun holiday cookie cutters and decorated with icing and all of the sprinkles you can find.

This recipe is a bit different because it isn't your typical Sugar Cookie but rather a White Velvet Cookie! They are so easy to make (they have less than 10 ingredients!) and taste amazing

We have been making this recipe for as long as I can remember but the recipe I have (that my mom cut out of a magazine) says Taste of Home 2004. Somehow I managed to find it online here as well!



Ingredients:
Softened Butter, Softened Cream Cheese, Sugar, Egg Yolks, Vanilla Extract, Flour, Frosting, Sprinkles

9. Once the cookies are completely cool, frost and decorate!

Instructions:
1. In a mixing bowl, cream butter and cream cheese until light and fluffy

2. Add sugar, egg yolks, and vanilla; mix well
3. Gradually add flour




4. Cover and chill in the refrigerator for at least two hours (I chilled mine overnight and it worked fine)



5. Roll out on a floured surface to 1/4 inch thickness


6. Cut out the cookings using your cookie cutters and place on a greased cookie sheets
7. Bake at 350 degrees for 10-12 minutes or until golden brown

8. Cool for 5 minutes then move to a wire rack to completely cool


9. Once the cookies are completely cool, frost and decorate!

- Frosting (store bought or homemade of your choice)
- Sprinkles
