Long Prom Dresses

Wednesday, March 23, 2016

I am so excited to be sharing the first of a few prom themed posts with y'all today! Prom is just around the corner for most high school girls and it seems that prom fever has swept my school since it seems like someone is always talking about the latest promposal or their dress!

Dresses are probably one of the biggest part of prom and what I have always been excited about for the event (I mean how often as a high school student do you have the opportunity to dress up in a fancy gown?). My school traditionally does long, floor-length dresses for prom so that's what I will be sharing with y'all today! Although, stayed tuned for tomorrow's post as I will be sharing some of my favorite short dresses for prom!

One of these dresses is my dress for prom, any guesses on which one I chose?

Do you have your prom dress yet? Do you wear long or short dresses at your school? Let me know in the comments!

  1. I love those dresses with the high necklines! Can't wait to see which dress you chose!

    1. I love higher necklines- no need to pull up your dress ;)! Can't wait to share more about prom with y'all!

  2. I absolutely love prom dresses! I loved going to prom in high school and picking out a dress!

    1. They're so fun to look at! I mean how many other times is it appropriate to wear a full length gown?

  3. My school does long prom dresses as well! I got my dress a couple months ago; it is a blush color in a princess ballgown type cut. I love it!

    1. Yay! Can't wait to read all about your prom experience :)

  4. The one thing I miss about high school is getting ready for prom - it's such a fun experience! I'm absolutely loving the mint one in the bottom right corner, it's so elegant! Can't wait to see what you wear.

    1. I'm so excited! Isn't it so gorgeous! Thanks Rachel, I'm so excited to share it with y'all!

  5. Wearing a vintage formal dress or vintage inspired formal dress to prom wouldn’t be weird.

The Best Long Prom Dresses 2020 you are showing are not formal wear though, and most proms are formal and have a dress code. The dresses pictured in the details are casual day/office/weekend wear. So those particular styles and fabrics would be weird.

It would be like wearing a ballgown to a pool party.

Now if you chose something that was more event appropriate (and many schools do have a dress code for prom requiring formal or semi-formal attire), you could look at something like
