Happy Wednesday! I am so excited to be sharing today's post with y'all today- it was a reader request and I am finally getting around to sharing it!
It doesn't take a lot to realize from my blog or Instagram that I love the brand Lilly Pulitzer- I love the bright colors, the fun prints, and preppy element it adds to any outfit. I first discovered the brand for myself in the eighth grade and it's certainly made my closet a whole lot brighter since then!
One thing about Lilly is the cost as it definitely is not cheap. Over the past few years, I have definitely built quite a collection but I know that Lilly will never go out of style and I will be wearing these pieces for years to come! Even though the pieces may be timeless, I will never argue against finding fun Lilly pieces at a lower price point so here are my pieces for shopping at Lilly but for less!
Look at the Sale Rack
One of Lilly's "quirks" is that the website doesn't have a section entitled sale. But that doesn't mean that Lilly doesn't ever go on sale besides the two online sales. Every Lilly store that I have been to has a sale section and sometimes you can find "pot of gold pieces". For example, I found this Elsa top that retails for $158 in the sale section for half off!
Call Multiple Stores to see if they have something on sale!
In addition to their retail stores, Lilly is also carried at what are called signature stores that are independently owned. If you are looking for specific pieces, I would recommend googling "lilly pulitzer signature stores" and then seeing if the store has your item on sale!
Online Sales
The best (but sometimes stressful) way to get your hands on brand new yet discounted Lilly. There's two sales a year: one in January (which has pieces from the end of summer, fall, and some of resort) and one in August (which has pieces from the end of resort, spring, and some of summer). Try everything you like on while in a store
I am lucky enough to live near a Lilly store (at Southpark Mall in Charlotte) so whenever I go shopping there, I try on everything and anything I think is cute. Although this may wind up to be a lot of pieces and that I definitely do not purchase all of them, it is so helpful to know your sizing as well as what looks good on you for the online sales. The online sales are final sale, which means you cannot return or exchange any pieces from it. Trying everything on ahead of time helps you purchase the pieces that fit and look the best on you during the sale. A great example of this is last summer I was obsessed with a dress (the Annabelle Halter Shift) but when I tried it on I realized it fit me really badly. If I hadn't have tried it on beforehand, I probably would of bought it during the sale only to come to that conclusion after trying it on.
Secondhand Stores/Websites
I have not personally ever bought Lilly this way but searching websites like eBay or Poshmark as well as secondhand stores in your hometown may be a good way for you to score some Lilly for less!
How do you shop at Lilly for less? Let me know in the comments!
Thanks for sharing these tips girl! I love Lilly but my wallet surely doesn't... hahah. I hope you have a great rest of your week!

DeleteSo I haven't actually ever fully shopped Lily but I have gotten lucky enough to stumble on some as I was thrifting and while I love the stuff, I have to say that sizing is really hard! I love it though and totally worth trying on stuff!

Feel free to send me an email (chicincarolina@gmail.com) if you have any questions on sizing! Lilly is always changing their sizing so it can be tricky to know what size to get!
DeleteI adore Lilly Pulitzer items but I haven't made any purchases from them yet. I'm definitely going to keep these tips in mind though!
