Last Friday, my mom and I were up and on the road fairly early to head to Wake Forest. For their application, Wake Forest requires a thirty minute interview whether it is in-person or via Skype. Since Wake is less than a hour and a half from Charlotte, I opted for the in-person interview. Despite being extremely nervous, the interview wasn't too bad and I think it went well (fingers crossed though). After my interview ended, we took a tour of the school, which was fun because when we visited in March, Wake was on their Spring Break so there wasn't any student-led tours. I toured my freshman year with my grade but this was my mom's first official tour and it's always good to go on a tour led by a current student when looking at any college!
After the tour ended, my mom and I were both starving and wanted Chick-fil-a so we actually had to drive most of the way home to get to one. But once I got my Chick-fil-a, I was thrilled and so glad we waited!
On our way back to the house, we stopped at Whole Foods to pick up a few essentials (including pizza for that night's dinner) and I couldn't help but take a picture of the gorgeous flowers they had! The rest of my night was low key and I went to bed pretty early as well!
On Saturday, I ran down to Southpark Mall to exchange my agenda because my other one had a weird blemish in it and I, of course, couldn't resist trying on some of the new arrivals at Lilly. I couldn't decide between this dress and these beach shorts but I wound up getting the beach shorts- they're so comfy and I know I'll wear them a ton!
After Lilly, I decided to pop into Kate Spade just to browse and I wound up buying this skirt! It's currently on sale with an extra 30% off until Tuesday with code SUNSHINE and I styled it in this post.
After leaving the mall, I had another errand to run before heading home. I went to Saturday night Mass with my family and then just hung out at home afterwards.
One of the best things about weekends for me is sleeping in and having laid back mornings. Especially since I'm working this summer, it makes those weekend mornings so much more special! I had Pure Barre at 3 so I just kind of hung out and blogged before then! After my class ended, I hung out by the pool and had dinner with my family, our neighbors, and our family friends.
This "work" week has gone by ridiculously fast because I've been so busy! I've been nannying in the mornings this week and after that I've gone to Pure Barre every afternoon. Monday and Wednesday, I had appointments to go to in the afternoon and Tuesday, my mom and I ran to Target to pick up some things for our trip. Not to mention, I've been
1. Shannon's recap of a weekend in New York City is making me dream of taking another trip there soon!
2. In preparation for my trip, I ordered two new books to read while I'm there: Go Set a Watchman and The After Party. One of my 101 in 1001 goals was to read 20 new books for fun so I'm excited to work to finish that goal!
3. I absolutely love this outfit on Caroline and it's a part of the cutest brunch themed collaboration!
4. Last week, I shared my new favorite Twitter account with y'all. Similar to the twitter account, this article on how Gossip Girl would be different in 2016 is hilarious!
5. I just got the Free Trial of Spotify Premium and I am so excited about it!

"Go Set A Watchman" is one of my all-time favorite books; Harper Lee writes so beautifully! It should be a great read for the beach or for the plane ride. Hope you have a wonderful time in Hawaii!
