How I Stay Organized {Bloggers Go Back to School Linkup}

Monday, August 10, 2015

Today is Monday, which means that it is time for another installment of the Bloggers Go Back to School Linkup (hosted by Cathleen of Classy Cathleen and Nicole of Empire Styles). If y'all are new to the linkup, each week has a different theme (last week was fashion, check out my post here!) regarding back to school that each blogger in the linkup has a post in that topic. This week's theme is organization, which I love! I consider myself to be highly organized and honestly, I really can't function unless my life is organized! So in this post, I will be taking you through the ways I stay organized for school (my bag, my binders, and my agenda) and some of the fun products that I use! Unfortunately, I would show you how I keep my laptop organized but I don't get mine back till the first day of school (it is a school issued computer!) so I can't show you how my laptop is organized without my laptop (maybe a post on that soon?)!

Backpack Organization

Okay so first I'll take y'all through how I organize my backpack! I use the Land's End Large Tote with a Monogram and love it since it is so big and can hold everything! It also has a lot of pockets, which I love!

Inside my backpack!
You can see my morning classes binder, afternoon classes binder, a textbook, my Lilly Pulitzer agenda, another textbook, and then my Lilly Pulitzer wristlet!

Another angle where you can see my calculator, Lilly wristlet, agenda, and two binders!

In another pocket, I keep my pencil pouch and some fun Lilly post-it notes!

A better look of my pencil pouch (I love Ink Joy pens!) and Lilly post-its.

I always keep my agenda, wristlet, headphones, pencil pouch, calculator, and Lilly stickers with me since I never know when I will need them! For my books, I typically only carry my morning binder and textbooks and then my afternoon binder and textbooks, which has worked pretty well for me in the past!

Binder Organization

For my binders, I use two large binders from Staples. I use the more expensive ones because from experience they hold up so much better throughout the years! I made Lilly Pulitzer binder covers for them (a post on that will be up soon!).

A peek inside! I have three tabs in my binder for each of my classes! Last year, I was inspired by this pin and made a Table of Contents for each section. It helped me keep organized but it was a ton of work so probably this year I will number my papers so I know what order they all go in!

Agenda Organization

I have used a Lilly Pulitzer Large Agenda for all of high school and I love it! They are the perfect size and have tons of space inside! This year I got the print, Pink Lemonade! The school year hasn't started yet so I can't really show you how I use my agenda since there is nothing it it! Once school is session, I'll probably put together a post on that though!

Last year, I bought the Academic sticker set and they are so cute!

I use the front pocket of the agenda to hold notes, field trip forms, my schedule, and currently the stickers!

How do y'all stay organized? Let me know in the comments!

  1. Nothing motivates me to stay organized like a fun print and a big ol' monogram! Love this look into your backpack!

  3. Love how you organize your Lilly agenda; unfortunately, I'm stuck with a school brand planner, but I love reading posts about Lilly and Kate Spade agendas anyway!

  4. Love your idea of separating morning and afternoon classes! I had never thought of that before. :)

    1. Thanks Alyssa! Is it totally obvious I love the color pink through my school supply choices?
