My Chic Week: November 4-10

Friday, November 11, 2016

Happy Friday y'all! I have the day off again for Parent-Teacher Conferences, which I am so excited about. I'll be sharing what I'm up to this weekend next week so stay tuned but for now let's catch up on this past week!

Friday was a Mass day, which always are kind of crazy since I have all 8 of my classes but they're all short, which doesn't sound too bad but winds up being crazy since teachers cram 45 minutes of class into 30. I also had a NHS Officers Meeting during lunch and a Calc quiz to add to the day haha! After school, I went to a Pure Barre class, ate dinner at home with my family, and then babysat!

Saturday was a super busy but super fun day. I woke a bit earlier than usual to go to an 8 AM Pure Barre class so I could get another class in for the challenge, which has been such a great motivator for me to make it to the barre even though I have been busy lately.

After Pure Barre, I came home, ate breakfast, and then got ready for the day. The little boy I nanny had his birthday party on Saturday so my mom, sister, and I decided to go to Southpark Mall before the party began. Lilly's Birthday Celebration was last weekend so I, of course, stopped in to do some shopping!

After Lilly, we went to our favorite, California Pizza Kitchen, for lunch and then did some more shopping. I stopped in Sephora to get some makeup and we actually started our Christmas shopping on Saturday! The entire mall was decorated for Christmas, which I'm sure how I feel about because I love Christmas but we still have Thanksgiving and the rest of November to get through first!

We stopped at Starbucks to get some coffee afterwards and then headed over to the party. I babysat after the party ended, so I helped out at the party with one of the crafts and also by taking lots of pictures!

I wound up getting home fairly late on Saturday so I slept in super late on Sunday. I thankfully didn't have a ton of homework to do last weekend so I was able to get the one assignment I did have done and also catching up on stuff for Chic in Carolina (like getting through my Bloglovin feed). Pure Barre has been a staple in my weekend routine lately so I was excited to make it to a class Sunday as well. After class, I worked on a few more things for the blog and spent the rest of the night relaxing with my family.

After falling back a hour on Sunday, Monday felt a million years long. I had a meeting during lunch, Faith Formation after school, and then a Pure Barre class after that. And I wanted to go to bed at like 9 PM since it was so dark outside haha!

Even though this has been a short week for me, Tuesday felt way longer in the week than a Tuesday. In addition to being Election Day, I had a few group projects going on throughout the day as well as projects to work on for both NHS and Service Committee. I had a NHS meeting during lunch and then nannied after school as well.

With this week being a short week, Wednesday was "Friday" for me but that didn't make my day any less busy. I went to my usual Wednesday 6 AM barre class, had another meeting during lunch, and just had an overall busy day haha! I also worked after school but thankfully didn't have any homework to do since it was the start of my weekend.

As I mentioned earlier, I had yesterday off of school and had a low-key day, which was so nice after a couple of busy weeks! I was able to sleep in late and also spent time blogging and cleaning my room in the morning. In the afternoon, my mom and I went to a Platform class at my Pure Barre studio. For those who aren't very familiar with Pure Barre, Platform is the higher intensity, cardio implement to a traditional Pure Barre class. This was my first Platform class (read about my first Pure Barre experience here) and it was fun! Attending a Platform class and bringing someone new to the barre are both bonus points for the Pure Barre 20 in 31 challenge so that was an extra motivation to get to class.

After Platform, my mom and I ran a few errands and then I worked on some blog stuff for the rest of the afternoon.

Lilly Pulitzer's actual birthday was yesterday so I obviously had to post a picture on Instagram to celebrate. This is from my mom and I's trip to New York City to celebrate my 17th birthday back in April, which you can read all about here.

On my Radar this week:

1. November Busyness- November is always a busy month for me as 3 of the 5 school weeks are short and we always have Spirit Week and Homecoming in November (we time Homecoming around basketball season at my school). Spirit Week/Homecoming is next week and I still have a few things to figure out before then. Even though I'm excited for everything November holds, it's safe to say I'm looking forward to a 5 day weekend for Thanksgiving!

2. Seriously love these Tory Burch wedges- they're so classic and they're currently on sale!

3. THE RED CUPS ARE BACK. I'm totally #basic but the cups are back at Starbucks and I'm so excited about it!

4. Annaliese shared 10 ways to brighten someone's day on her blog, which I LOVE!

5. Everything at Kate Spade is 25% off with code PURPOSE

Happy Friday!
