My Chic Week: March 31- April 6

Friday, April 7, 2017

Happy Friday y'all! I am so excited because 1. this post is going up on time (#thestruggleisreal) and 2. there's only 2.5 days till Spring Break! It seems like the weeks till break have dragged on so I'm so excited that this time next week I'll be in Florida and it will be my birthday!!

Since last week's My Chic week post went up on Monday, I decided to do a Weekend Reading for y'all that will go up tomorrow (read my last Weekend Reading here) so be sure to check back in tomorrow for that!

Last Friday was a half day of school so thankfully we had shortened classes. I didn't do anything exciting with my extra time, just hung out at home before going to work haha.

Friday was J. Crew's #NationalStripesDay so I obviously wore a J. Crew striped shirt!

Saturday morning, I was able to sleep in before going to a barre class later in the morning. After class, I went home and ate lunch before going to nanny in the afternoon.

Nannying wound up being very laid back and I was able to get some work done while the baby napped. I had a low-key night Saturday, which was a nice way to relax.

Sunday morning started off on the early side as I went to a 9:15 AM barre class but new workout clothes definitely helped that one out haha! Afterwards, I came home and then checked a lot of things off of my to-do list, including studying for an AP Psych Test and this week's blog post.

Sunday night was a bit more exciting as I drove into the city to meet up with Amy, Cara, and Annaliese to go out to dinner. Annaliese is moving this week to Vermont (so excited for her but will definitely miss her) so we ate at Ink n Ivy in Uptown to celebrate. It was so fun catching up as it has been a while since we've all seen each other and the food was so yummy too!

Monday was definitely a busy one as my day started off with an AP Psych test. Thankfully, that went well and the rest of my school day was pretty normal.

I taught my Faith Formation class on Monday and I'm in total disbelief that I only have two more classes left this year. This is my last year teaching as I'll be at Clemson this fall so it's definitely bittersweet.

After Faith Formation, I ate dinner at home and then went to barre before going home and turning in an essay.

Tuesday was another busy day with an assignment due in AP Psych, a NHS meeting during lunch, a test due for AP Lang in the afternoon, and then working in the afternoon as well.

I realized while cleaning out my closet a few weekends ago that I am definitely lacking in swimsuits so I ordered two new ones for spring break and the bottoms for this super cute bikini arrived on Tuesday. I ordered the top a few weeks ago with a different pair of bottoms that I didn't love so I'm really glad I found these new ones because they're so cute!

Wednesday morning, I was up bright and early to go to a 6 AM barre class. The day was definitely an interesting one and we had some nasty weather Wednesday too. I wound up taking the boys I nanny to Chick-fil-a for dinner, which was a great way to end the day.

After waking up early for barre Wednesday, my usual wakeup call seemed like sleeping in. Thursday wasn't anything too crazy although I did have a Calc test in the afternoon, which is always fun.

Thursday afternoon, I took the boys I nanny to the park and even though it was a bit cold out, it was nice to spend some time outside. On a side note, I've been borrowing this Tory Burch bag from my mom this week (she got it while we were in New York City last Spring Break) and I have been loving it. The bag is a bit smaller than what I usually gravitate towards (this is the purse I typically use) but I really like that it can still hold everything I need and is a crossbody.
