Whales & Chinos

During our first week in Upstate New York, we toured Fort Ticonderoga. One of my younger sister's best friends and her family was staying a hour north of us for a wedding so we met my sister's friend and her family at the Fort and then for lunch afterwards.

Since I figured there would be a lot of walking and it would be hot outside, I decided to wear more comfortable clothes, which definitely was a good decision. I wore my Vineyard Vines whale t-shirt that I got a few Christmases ago (and wear all the time, you can tell since the whale is faded on the back on the shirt) with chinos and Jacks for an outfit that was perfect for the tour and the heat (it was surprisingly hot that day).

The Fort is built of beautiful stones and has gorgeous views of Lake Champlain so it was the perfect spot to take pictures!

  1. One of my goals this year is to explore upstate New York more – it feels like a world away from where I live! I would love to hear where else you end up going!
