Some interpretations of the rule say absolutely no white after Labor Day (as in no white dresses, no plain white tops, no white pants, etc.) while others says it's just no white pants after Labor Day.
But here's my take on the "issue"- I'm going to wear white after Labor Day. Here in North Carolina, it will be in the 80s and 90s to at least the end of September (it will probably still reach 70 or 80 degrees in October honestly). I personally think that as long as it's over 75 degrees, you can still wear your white pants.
But I definitely think it depends on how you style the white pants. Depending how you style it, you could possibly wear white pants into the winter (I think a gingham shirt and riding boots would look super cute with white pants). It definitely depends on personal preference (I have no qualms about wearing a bright Lilly top in the fall but some people may be against that) but I think you can wear white long after Labor Day!
Will you be wearing white after Labor Day? Let me know in the comments!
I am all for wearing white! Nothing can stop me I love the look it gives!

Me too!
DeleteI am old fashioned and put away my white dresses and white jeans after Labor Day (I do either Easter or First Day or Spring- whichever comes first the following year). However- I have several white blouses that work as transitional pieces that I wear year round! Great post topic!

I definitely think white tops are ok- growing up in the South, it's always more white pants that are more "controversial"
DeleteI literally just googled "Why Can't You Wear White After Labour Day", haha! I don't think we have fashion "rules" like that where I'm from, so I was a little bit surprised. Fashion, after all, is supposed to be all like "You do you, girl!".
ReplyDeleteHehe, I totally agree!
DeleteA hundo p agree- I always wear white after labour day! I mean hello they're called winter whites haha x
ReplyDeleteI agree, thanks for reading!

DeleteI used to stick to this no white after Labor Day rule, but I definitely don't any more. I have grown a deep love for my white denim haha. So I'll definitely be wearing them through the month of September and whenever I want :)
ReplyDeleteI'm the same way- I will definitely wear white pants in September but less often after that!
DeleteI wear white always oops! Honestly, it doesn't get that cold in Texas. There's a reason winter whites are a thing!
