101 in 1001

Inspired by Mackenzie who blogs over at Design Darling, I decided to put together my own 101 in 1001. For all of y'all who haven't heard of this before, 101 in 1001 is a list of 101 things I want to do within the next 1001 (around 2.5 years!).

Today is day 1 of 1001 and by the time I finish in October 2018, I'll be a sophomore in college, which is insane to think about! I'm excited to accomplish as many of these items as humanly possible and be sure to check up on my progress by checking out the 101 in 1001 tab on the top of blog!

Start- January 13, 2016

1. Host a holiday party for my friends and I

2. Bake twenty new recipes

3. Finish my bedroom redesign (and share it with y'all!)

4. Pay for the people behind me in Starbucks

5. Go an entire month without eating sweets

6. Learn how to ice skate

7. Get a massage

8. Treat my parents to a nice dinner

9. Read the entire Bible

10. Take a Pure Barre class

11. Do a Polar Plunge

12. Write (and mail) fifty hand-written notes

13. Drink eight glasses of water daily for a month

14. See three concerts

15. Grow out my hair

16. Donate $100 to charity

17. Read twenty "just for fun" books

18. Watch the sunrise

19. Have my grandmother teach me how to make one of her favorite recipes

20. Go a month without drinking coffee

21. Run a 10k

22. Invest in a MacBook Pro

23. Go a month without shopping

24. Run a "fun" run (like a Color Run or a Foam Run)

25. Go to a pumpkin patch

26. Get a facial

27. Save ten dollars for each item accomplished on this list

28. Go to bed before 10 PM for a month

29. Attend daily Mass each day for a week

30. Shop the Lilly Pulitzer Warehouse Sale

31. Go stand-up-paddleboarding on the ocean

32. Try something that scares me

33. Run everyday for a month

34. Make an address book with the contact info for my friends and family (not just in the contacts section of my iPhone)

35. Find a perfume I love

36. Host a brunch

37. Learn how to French braid my hair

38. Go to a yoga class

39. See ten movies in theaters

40. Try ten new beauty products

41. Vote in an election

42. Go a month without eating out

43. Go a week without wearing makeup

44. Buy a FitBit


45. Attend a baseball game

46. Visit the White Water Rafting Center

47. Explore uptown Charlotte with friends

48. Try ten different restaurants in Charlotte

49. Go to Amélie's French Bakery

50. Visit a popular tourist destination in Charlotte that I haven't been to yet


51. Go on a beach trip with friends

52. Go on a day trip with friends

53. Visit NYC

54. See a play (or musical) on Broadway

55. Get my hair done at the Dry Bar

56. Visit ten colleges

57. Visit a new country

58. Post a "travel diary" on the blog for one of the places I visit

59. Visit at least two high school friends at their colleges

60. Visit Palm Beach

61. Travel to a new state

62. Visit five different Lilly Pulitzer stores

63. Go snorkeling

64. Visit Disney World

65. Visit my lake house with friends

66. Visit five new cities

67. Go on a cruise

68. Visit a beach I haven't been to before

89. Take a class I normally wouldn't

90. Share a dorm room tour on the blog

91. Rush a sorority

92. Send my siblings a "care" package while I'm away at college

93. Have friends visit me at my college!

94. Introduce my college friends to my high school friends

95. Post a "day in my life- college edition" blog post

96. Make plans to study abroad

97. Go on a fun Spring Break trip with college friends

98. Call home every Sunday for a semester

99. Send ten friends snail mail to their colleges

100. Attend the Carolina Cup

101. Make the Dean's List in college

  3. 101 in 1001 lists I think are the perfect way to commit to things you want to do and yours has some great things! NYC is one of my favorite places in the world so you should definitely make sure you cross that one off!
