Charleston Weekend Trip Recap

Monday, February 5, 2018

Happy Monday y'all! If you follow me on Instagram (which you definitely should!), you probably know that my bestie Riley and I spent this weekend in Charleston as a bit of a belated birthday celebration for her!

We took so many pictures that I decided to recap our trip today and maybe share the pictures off of my camera in Friday's My Chic Week post!

I left Clemson after my last class, picked up Riley in Columbia, and then we drove down to Charleston! We checked into our hotel and then decided to walk around for a bit.

We stopped into the Skinny Dip to look around and grab an iced latte and I think it's safe to say that it was one of our favorite spots of the trip!

We then walked all over Charleston down King to towards the Battery then to Rainbow Row. We arrived at Waterfront Park to see the most gorgeous sunset!

During my last trip to Charleston, my friends and I ate at Toast and Riley and I wound up eating there Friday night! It did not disappoint and we had ice cream at Jeni's afterwards.

Saturday morning started on the early side as we got donuts and then went to the Drybar to get our hair blown out. Even though our blowouts didn't last as long as they usually do, it was still a fun experience!

Since we finished at the Drybar before most stores opened, we walked over to College of Charleston's campus as I wanted to see their Theta house. I've mentioned this before but we have sorority halls instead of houses at Clemson so it was fun to see another Theta chapter's house. I saved Riley the embarrassment and didn't knock on the door haha!

We then shopped till we dropped- which was too much fun!

Sophia of Simply Sophia Blog reached out to me when I mentioned earlier last week that we were going to Charleston. We wound up going to Caviar & Bananas and then to the Skinny Dip (where's she's an intern!) with her, which was so fun!

Riley and I then headed back to the hotel to change outfits and charge phones before walking around the Charleston City Market and shooting blog pictures in Waterfront Park.

As we were walking to Waterfront Park, a restaurant called Magnolia's caught our eye so we decided to go there for dinner and it was so good! On the pricy side but definitely worth it!

Our waiter recommended a fun dessert place so we went there before an early(ish) bedtime!

We slept in yesterday morning before checking out of the hotel and then grabbing a quick Starbucks breakfast!

Have you visited Charleston before? What were your favorite places that you visited?
