My Chic Week: May 4-10

Saturday, May 12, 2018

Happy Saturday y'all! Sorry this post is going up a bit later than usual- I typically have My Chic Week posts go up on Friday mornings but this week, it's up now and this week's Weekend Reading will be up tomorrow!

I've officially been home for over a week, which is crazy to think! I've already gotten back into the swing of things and my summer has been off to a busy start. I've unpacked everything from my dorm (which you can see here), nannied, and gotten back in the routine of working out. I'm so excited to share lots of fun summer content with y'all so definitely be on the lookout for that!

Friday was my first full day at home and I slept in, which was so nice after a busy week of finals! I went to barre in the afternoon and then started unpacking everything from my dorm room, which turned out to be quite the process haha!

Saturday morning, I slept in and then unpacked all day it seemed like. We had some of our neighbors over on Saturday night to watch the Kentucky Derby and to also celebrate Cinco de Mayo. I always love watching the Derby and also seeing all of the fun outfits the spectators wear to it.

Sunday was another pretty laid back day as I slept in, went to a barre class in the afternoon, and then enjoyed a yummy dinner at home with the fam!

Monday morning, I was up bright and early to nanny! It was so fun the see the boys I nanny as it had been a while and we wound up walking to school and grabbing donuts along the way.

I then came back home for a little bit before going to a Pure Barre class. After class, I grabbed Chipotle for lunch and headed home before nannying again in the afternoon.

I nannied in the morning on Tuesday and then wound up camping out in Starbucks to update my agenda and also work on some blog posts for y'all!

I had some errands to run at the mall so I stopped by there as well. Even though my closet definitely isn't lacking in Lilly, I couldn't resist not popping into the store as the new summer collection is so gorgeous. I was chatting with the manager and she said they'll be releasing a new shipment every week of May so I better hide my wallet haha! I couldn't resist this blue and white top but I definitely have my eye on this romper as well!

I then popped into a few other stores and then went to get lunch. One of my fav lunch spots in Southpark is Dean & Deluca but I was shocked to drive over there and find out it closed down so I headed back to the mall to grab Panera for lunch instead.

I then picked up the sweet little boys I nanny and we wound up getting fro-yo and then hung out at their house.

Wednesday was another pretty typical day as I nannied both in the morning and the afternoon with a. Pure Barre class in between!

I finished up at work earlier than usual on Thursday morning so I was able to head home and finish unpacking. I did the majority of it over the weekend but I had a few bags left to go through. It's such a relief to have it all done as it made my room look so messy haha! I then worked on the blog for a bit.

Thursday afternoon, I went to an Empower class at my Pure Barre studio. The Pure Barre website explains Empower so much better than I ever could but it's an essentially a cardio version of a classic PB class and it totally kicks your butt!

Right after class, I went to go nanny. The older boy of the two boys I nanny and I made a Target run and grabbed Starbucks while we were there, which was so fun! We then picked up his younger brother and then headed back to their house.

Happy Saturday!
